The TV Set (2007) is an American comedy directed by Jake Kasdan that you can watch online on iFILM. David Duchovny plays Mike, a writer trying to get his semi-autobiographical pilot onto a major network — one round of notes at a time, one compromise at a time.

Sigourney Weaver is the network executive on the other side of the table. She wants ratings. She likes reality TV. Her notes are polite, practical, and quietly disastrous for everything Mike cared about. Judd Greer, Ioan Gruffudd, and Simon Helberg round out a sharp ensemble where everyone behaves professionally and nothing good survives.
