See How They Run

See How They Run (2022) is a comic whodunit you can watch online on iFILM. In the West End of early-1950s London, a body turns up backstage at a hit play just as plans for a film version get underway.

The case falls to two mismatched detectives. Sam Rockwell plays Inspector Stoppard, a world-weary cop who prefers a drink to paperwork. Saoirse Ronan plays Constable Stalker, a notebook-clutching rookie who suspects absolutely everyone and writes it all down. Their questioning drags them through the seedy glamour of London theatre, where the actors, producers and writers all had a reason to want the victim gone. Adrien Brody and Ruth Wilson fill out a cast of people with plenty to hide.

The feature debut of director Tom George, it plays with the rules of the classic murder mystery and tips its hat to Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. A light, wry film that keeps mocking its own genre as it goes. Stream See How They Run (2022) online on iFILM.
