Synopsis

The House That Dripped Blood (1971) is a British horror anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Peter Duffell from a screenplay by Robert Bloch — the writer behind Psycho — the film weaves four separate tales around a single old country house, with a Scotland Yard inspector piecing together why everyone who rents it comes to a bad end.

Each segment has its own flavour. A crime novelist finds his fictional killer may be real. A wax figure in a local museum becomes an obsession that costs a man everything. A young girl's interest in the occult turns out to be something far older. And a pompous horror actor discovers the vampire cape on his film set is authentic. Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Denholm Elliott, Jon Pertwee, and Ingrid Pitt make up a cast that reads like a who's-who of British genre cinema.

Produced by Amicus Productions — Hammer's chief rival during the golden age of British Gothic — the film remains one of the studio's most stylish anthologies. Stream The House That Dripped Blood (1971) online on iFILM.
