Alex gets help from a young version of the wizard Merlin, who keeps flickering back into a wonderfully odd Patrick Stewart. To stand a chance, Alex has to knight not just his best friends but the two bullies who made his life miserable.

Cornish, who made Attack the Block, builds a real adventure with real stakes and zero talking down to kids, who forge their own armor and hold the line themselves.
