Synopsis
The Little Mermaid (2023) is Disney's live-action musical fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. Rob Marshall directs, with Halle Bailey in the lead.
Ariel is the youngest of King Triton's daughters, and easily the most stubborn. The ocean kingdom isn't enough for her. She keeps drifting toward the surface and the human world her father has forbidden. When she rescues Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King) from a shipwreck, she falls hard. To walk on land beside him, Ariel strikes a bargain with the sea witch Ursula, trading her voice for a pair of human legs. The deal puts her own life, and her father's crown, on the line.
This reimagining draws on Disney's 1989 animated film and the Hans Christian Andersen tale. Melissa McCarthy plays Ursula, Javier Bardem is King Triton, and Daveed Diggs voices the crab Sebastian.
