Synopsis
The Lion King (1994) is a Disney animated classic you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, the film follows young lion cub Simba, heir to the Pride Lands — until his uncle Scar tears that future apart in a single act of betrayal.
Scar murders King Mufasa and convinces Simba he is to blame. The grieving cub flees into exile, where meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa take him in and teach him to forget. Years pass. Then Nala arrives with desperate news from home, and a vision of his father pulls Simba back toward everything he abandoned. Voice cast features Matthew Broderick as Simba, Jeremy Irons as the silken-voiced villain Scar, and Nathan Lane alongside Ernie Sabella as the irresistible comic duo.
Hans Zimmer scored the film; Elton John and Tim Rice wrote the songs, including "Circle of Life" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight."
