Synopsis

Jubal (1956) is a Western drama directed by Delmer Daves — watch online on iFILM in a cast led by Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine and Rod Steiger, produced by Columbia Pictures.

Drifter Jubal Troop has never caught a break in his life. Rancher Shep Horgan changes that: a roof, steady wages, and eventually a foreman's post. It looks like a clean start. Then jealous hand Pinky — who had that job in his sights for years — decides to tear it all down. He whispers poison into Horgan's ear, slow and patient. When Horgan's restless, beautiful wife sets her eyes on Jubal, what started as a range rivalry sharpens into something far more dangerous.

Daves transplanted Shakespearean jealousy into the open range — the film draws an open parallel with Othello, and it works. Ford plays restraint like a skill; Steiger makes Pinky the kind of villain you feel in your chest. Stream Jubal (1956) online on iFILM.
