Synopsis
The Silence (2019) is John R. Leonetti's horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. One family tries to outlast a world where any sound draws a swarm of lethal creatures.
When cavers crack open an ancient chamber, blind bat-like predators pour out. They hunt by ear, race on leathery wings, and breed fast enough to gut civilization within days. Teenager Ally (Kiernan Shipka), deaf since a car crash, is oddly suited to a world gone quiet: her family already speaks fluent sign language. Her father Hugh (Stanley Tucci) drags everyone out of the city, hoping distance buys survival. Miranda Otto plays the mother; a younger brother struggles far more with the enforced silence. Out in the countryside, though, the swarm isn't the only threat. A sinister cult has its own use for people who can live without making a sound.
