No Time for Nuts

No Time for Nuts (2006) is a seven-minute animated short from Blue Sky Studios you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Chris Renaud and Mike Thurmeier — the team that brought back Scrat, the acorn-obsessed sabre-toothed squirrel from the Ice Age franchise.

Scrat stumbles onto a time machine. The acorn is there too, naturally. What follows is a chase through the ages: dense prehistoric foliage, a medieval court, a gleaming future city. The acorn slips away every single time, in every era, with perfect comic timing.
