The trail leads to a shopping mall, with suspicion falling on Eduardo, the owner of a Mexican restaurant. And while Gru plays spy, his yellow minions start vanishing one by one — and the reason is bigger than any prank.

Directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud made the sequel brighter and faster than the original, adding a clumsy romance and the minions' babble that became quotable around the globe.
