Dark Shadows

Dark Shadows (2012) is Tim Burton's fantasy comedy, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Wealthy playboy Barnabas Collins breaks a witch's heart, so she curses him into a vampire and seals him underground for two centuries.

The ground gives Barnabas (Johnny Depp) back in 1972. His Collinwood estate has crumbled, and the relatives squatting inside it all hide something: a sharp-tongued matriarch played by Michelle Pfeiffer, a hard-drinking psychiatrist played by Helena Bonham Carter, and a sullen teenager played by Chloe Grace Moretz. Worse, the witch Angelique (Eva Green) is still alive, still runs the town, and still refuses to let her old flame go.

Burton crashes gothic melodrama into the disco era, all bell-bottoms, lava lamps and a cameo from rocker Alice Cooper. Christopher Lee turns up in a brief role too. The film grew out of the cult 1960s soap opera of the same name. Stream Dark Shadows (2012) online on iFILM.
