Synopsis
The Heat (2013) is Paul Feig's buddy-cop comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A by-the-book FBI agent and a foul-mouthed Boston detective get stuck working the same case.
Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) solves crimes by the manual and annoys everyone around her. Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy) runs on gut instinct, fists, and a mouth that never quits. Neither has ever had a partner, and it shows. When the two are forced to chase a drug lord through the streets of Boston, the takedown keeps falling apart into shootouts, screaming matches, and one very messy night at a bar.
Feig, who directed Bridesmaids, hands the comedy to a female lead pair again, and Bullock and McCarthy improvise so freely that half the lines feel ad-libbed. Katie Dippold, later behind the 2016 Ghostbusters, wrote the script. Stream The Heat (2013) online on iFILM.
