The Brothers Bloom

The Brothers Bloom (2008) is Rian Johnson's caper comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Two con-man brothers have spent their whole lives fleecing the rich through schemes that Stephen writes like a novelist, casting his younger sibling in every part.

Bloom is tired of living inside someone else's plot and wants a real life with no script. Stephen (Mark Ruffalo) talks him into one final con. The mark is Penelope, an eccentric shut-in heiress played by Rachel Weisz who collects hobbies the way other people collect stamps, from karate to ukulele. The globe-trotting swindle runs smoothly right up until Bloom actually falls for her.

Adrien Brody plays a thief who can no longer tell the role from the feeling, while a nearly silent demolitions expert called Bang Bang (Rinko Kikuchi) steals scene after scene with barely a word.
