The Girl with All the Gifts

The Girl with All the Gifts (2016) is a British sci-fi horror you can watch online on iFILM. A fungal infection has hollowed out humanity, leaving most people as ravenous husks. On a fortified army base, soldiers keep a group of infected children strapped into wheelchairs — kids who still reason, joke, and answer questions in class.

One of them is Melanie, a bright girl whose mind unsettles the adults far more than her hunger does. Her teacher Helen Justineau grows fond of her. Dr. Caroline Caldwell sees a cure waiting to be cut out of her. Sergeant Parks just wants the perimeter to hold. When the base falls, this uneasy group sets off across a ruined Britain, and the real question follows them the whole way: who counts as human now?

Director Colm McCarthy works from Mike Carey's novel, adapted by the author himself. Gemma Arterton, Glenn Close and Paddy Considine round out the cast, with newcomer Sennia Nanua carrying the film.
