Synopsis

Jacob Holland is the heir apparent aboard the famed hunting vessel of Captain Crow. Then a stowaway upends his plans: orphan Maisie Brumble, raised on tales of slain monsters, sneaks below deck determined to join the voyage. As they sail into uncharted waters, everything Jacob believes about beasts and the people who hunt them starts to come apart. Karl Urban, Zaris-Angel Hator and Jared Harris lead the voice cast.
Produced by Netflix Animation, the film earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature. Under the spectacle of harpoons and sea battles sits a sharp idea: maybe the hero of the legend never had to kill anything at all.
