Synopsis
Mo' Better Blues (1990) is a jazz drama from Spike Lee that you can watch online on iFILM. Denzel Washington plays Bleek Gilliam, a trumpet player who has been practicing since age seven and isn't about to stop for anyone — not his band, not either of his girlfriends.
Bleek juggles two women, Indigo and Clarke, and commits to neither. His childhood friend Giant handles the band's money and has quietly buried himself in gambling debts with people who collect violently. When Bleek steps in to help, the fallout costs him more than he expected. Wesley Snipes, Samuel L. Jackson, and Spike Lee himself round out the cast, each bringing their own tension to the frame.
