The Takedown

The Takedown (Loin du périph, 2022) is a French action comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Louis Leterrier. Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte return as Ousmane Diakité and François Monge — two cops who share nothing except a case file and a mutual talent for getting on each other's nerves.

What starts as a straightforward drug bust expands into something far messier: a major criminal operation with threads running across the country. Ousmane improvises; François consults the manual. They disagree on everything and somehow keep solving crimes anyway. The friction between Sy and Lafitte is what makes the sequel work at its own brisk two-hour pace.
