The Expanse (2015) is a sci-fi thriller series you can watch online on iFILM — all six seasons, 62 episodes. Two hundred years from now, humanity has spread across the solar system but hasn't solved the old problems. Earth, Mars and the Belt are locked in a cold war that keeps nearly tipping hot, and something out in the dark is about to give it a push.

Detective Miller (Thomas Jane) is chasing a missing-persons case that should be routine. Ship captain Jim Holden (Steven Strait) survives an attack that shouldn't have happened. Their separate threads pull them toward the same discovery — one that could flip the balance of power across the entire solar system. Shohreh Aghdashloo plays UN politician Chrisjen Avasarala, the one person who understands exactly how dangerous the situation is and how far she'll go to control it.

The show is built on the novel series by James S.A. Corey (the pen name of Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck). Syfy ran the first three seasons, then Amazon rescued it and carried it through a six-season run that wrapped in 2022.
