The World's End

The World's End (2013) is Edgar Wright's sci-fi comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Five childhood friends return to their hometown to finally conquer a twelve-pub crawl that ends at a bar called The World's End. Two decades ago, they never made it.

The whole thing is the idea of Gary King (Simon Pegg), a middle-aged screw-up still chasing the best night of his teens, dragging four reluctant grown men along. Andy (Nick Frost) quit drinking years back and hasn't forgiven him. By the third pint, though, the locals start acting wrong, and something distinctly not human is hiding under their skin. A drunken marathon turns into a brawl for the survival of the planet. Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and Rosamund Pike round out the crew.

This is the finale of the Cornetto trilogy, after Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz: the same Pegg and Frost pairing, the same whip-fast editing where every cut lands a joke.
