Lee (2024) is a historical drama by Ellen Kuras you can watch online on iFILM. Kate Winslet plays Lee Miller, a former Vogue model who picks up a camera in the late 1930s and heads for the one place that kept women reporters out: the front line.

The story follows her through the 1940s, when she shoots for Vogue again, only now it is air raids over London, nurses near the fighting, and the liberation of the camps rather than couture. Her pictures clash with the magazine's polish, and most of them never reach the page. A late-life interview frames the whole film: an older Lee answers a young journalist (Josh O'Connor), and each answer pulls us back into one of her photographs. Around her are Alexander Skarsgard, Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough and Andy Samberg.

This is cinematographer Ellen Kuras stepping behind the camera for the first time, working from Miller's real life and her actual images, including the notorious shot taken in Hitler's bathtub in the spring of 1945.
