Revolution tears a young grand duchess from her family, and ten years later an orphan named Anya (voiced by Meg Ryan) sets off for Paris with one blurry memory, hoping to find her grandmother, the Dowager Empress. Two con men latch on for the trip: charming Dimitri (John Cusack) and former courtier Vladimir. They plan to pass Anya off as the missing princess for a reward, until the resemblance starts looking far too real. Meanwhile the sorcerer Rasputin (Christopher Lloyd) claws his way out of the grave to finish what he started.
