About
Synopsis
The Bridges at Toko-Ri (1954) is an American war drama directed by Mark Robson — watch online on iFILM. William Holden stars as Navy Lieutenant Harry Brubaker, a pilot ordered to take out a cluster of fortified bridges deep inside enemy territory during the Korean War. Grace Kelly plays his wife, waiting stateside and knowing the odds.
The film was produced while the Korean conflict was still fresh — and it shows. Robson doesn't frame the mission as heroism. Brubaker is a man caught between duty and the family he may never see again, and the aerial sequences with jet fighters feel raw rather than spectacular. For a 1954 studio picture, it lands closer to tragedy than triumph. Stream The Bridges at Toko-Ri (1954) online on iFILM.
