Synopsis

The BFG (2016) is Steven Spielberg's family fantasy, free to watch online in high quality on iFILM. Sophie, an orphan who can't sleep, spots a huge figure prowling the street outside her window. The giant sees her too — and carries her off.

That's how Sophie ends up in Giant Country. Her kidnapper, played by Mark Rylance, turns out to be the only gentle soul among his kind. He catches good dreams in jars and blows them through children's windows at night, keeping the bad ones away. The trouble is the other giants. They are far bigger, far meaner, and they hunt humans. So the girl and her friend hatch a plan that reaches all the way to the Queen of England.

Adapted from Roald Dahl's book, the film pairs two giants of children's wonder: the author who dreamed up Sophie and the director of E.T. Rylance brings the BFG to life through motion capture, and his scrambled, made-up words are half the fun. Rebecca Hall, Bill Hader and Penelope Wilton round out the cast.
