The Adventures of Tintin

The Adventures of Tintin (2011) is Steven Spielberg's animated mystery you can watch online on iFILM. Young reporter Tintin and his dog Snowy pick up an old model ship, the Unicorn, at a street market and walk straight into trouble.

Hidden inside the hull is a scrap of parchment with a coded clue. A collector named Sakharine wants the same model badly enough to have Tintin kidnapped onto a cargo freighter. From there the chase runs across half the world, from cobbled European alleys to a desert crash and a Moroccan port. Along the way Tintin sobers up Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis), whose seafaring ancestor holds the key to a sunken treasure, while the clumsy detectives Thomson and Thompson stumble in and out of every scene.

This was Spielberg's first fully animated feature, built with performance capture that turned live actors into the frame-by-frame world of the film. The voice cast includes Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig, and the comic pairing of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It is drawn from Hergé's classic Belgian comics, with Peter Jackson producing.
