Married to the Mob

Married to the Mob (1988) is a crime comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jonathan Demme. Michelle Pfeiffer plays Angela De Marco, a Long Island mob wife who has had enough — the fur coats, the striped suits, the hairdressers who know too much. When her husband (Alec Baldwin) is shot by mob boss Tony "The Tiger" Russo (Dean Stockwell), Angela sees her way out.

She grabs her son and moves to a tiny Manhattan apartment, ready to start over. Two problems follow her downtown: Russo, who has decided he wants Angela for himself, and FBI agent Mike Downey (Matthew Modine), who has decided she's his ticket to busting Russo. Mercedes Ruehl is sharp and funny as Russo's jealous wife; Joan Cusack and Oliver Platt appear in smaller roles that still land.
