Bowfinger

Bowfinger (1999) is the Frank Oz comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Broke and out of chances, Hollywood hustler Bobby Bowfinger is dead set on shooting an alien-invasion blockbuster, but he has no money and no movie star.

So he cooks up a scheme that should not work: put A-list action hero Kit Ramsey in the film without ever telling Kit he's being filmed. Hidden cameras go up around town, and the cast simply ambushes the bewildered celebrity on the street and plays their scenes at him. To fill the gaps, Bowfinger hires a meek lookalike, a clueless errand boy named Jiff who happens to be Kit's spitting image. The more footage they grab, the more convinced Ramsey becomes that real aliens are stalking him.

Steve Martin wrote the script and stars as Bowfinger, while Eddie Murphy pulls double duty as both the arrogant Kit and the sweet, jittery Jiff.
