Synopsis
The Goldfish (Die Goldfische, 2019) is a German comedy from director Alireza Golafshan you can watch online on iFILM. Oliver is a banker who likes going fast — too fast: he clips a guardrail at 230 km/h and wakes up with a spinal cord injury.
Rehab puts him in a shared flat whose residents go by the name Die Goldfische. His new housemates have physical disabilities and very few reservations about anything. Oliver spots an opportunity: smuggling a suitcase of black cash into Switzerland is far less conspicuous with this particular crew as cover. Tom Schilling leads a strong ensemble including Jella Haase and Kida Ramadan, and the film earns its laughs by treating everyone in the room as a full person rather than a prop.
