Synopsis
Year of the Dragon (1985) is a crime thriller by Michael Cimino you can watch online on iFILM. In New York's Chinatown, a ruthless young gangster named Joey Tai is consolidating the heroin trade and eliminating the Italian mob bosses who thought they owned the neighborhood.
Standing in his way is Captain Stanley White — a Vietnam vet who declares his own unauthorized war on Chinatown, ignoring every order from above. Mickey Rourke plays White with barely contained fury: a cop who can no longer tell the difference between the job and personal obsession. John Lone is his counterpart, cool and calculating. The script is by Oliver Stone, and Cimino shot the film in the streets of New York just a few years after the commercial disaster of Heaven's Gate.
