Synopsis
The Town (2010) is Ben Affleck's crime thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. One square mile of Boston, the Charlestown neighborhood, turns out more bank robbers than anywhere else in the country.
Doug MacRay (Affleck) was raised into the trade and wants out. His crew hits a bank in nun masks and walks off with branch manager Claire (Rebecca Hall) as a hostage, so Doug starts tailing her afterward to learn what she saw. Then it falls apart: he falls for the witness, his volatile partner Jem (Jeremy Renner) wants to shoot first, and FBI agent Frawley (Jon Hamm) is closing in fast.
Affleck adapted Chuck Hogan's novel "Prince of Thieves" and directs himself in the lead; Renner earned an Oscar nomination for Jem. The final heist was filmed inside the real Fenway Park. Stream The Town (2010) online on iFILM.
