Black Dynamite

Black Dynamite (2009) is an action-comedy you can watch online on iFILM — a straight-faced send-up of 1970s blaxploitation. A former CIA agent and kung-fu expert sets out to avenge his murdered brother, and the bodies pile up fast.

Director Scott Sanders shot the whole thing to look like a lost grindhouse reel: scratched film stock, boom mics drifting into frame, dialogue flubbed and left in. Michael Jai White plays Dynamite as cool as ice while heroin floods the orphanages and bootleg liquor poisons the streets. The trail leads him toward a shadowy figure known only as The Man. Arsenio Hall, Tommy Davidson and Michael K. Williams round out the cast.
