Edges of the Lord

Edges of the Lord (2001) is a Polish-American wartime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Yurek Bogayevicz set the story in the countryside of German-occupied Poland in 1942, where a 12-year-old Jewish boy named Romek finds shelter among a family of Catholic farmers after escaping Krakow.

Haley Joel Osment — coming off The Sixth Sense — plays Romek with a quiet precision that carries the film. Willem Dafoe appears as the village priest. Nobody around Romek plans to betray him. But every day requires him to be someone he is not, and the weight of that accumulates.
