Synopsis
10 Cloverfield Lane (2016) is the Dan Trachtenberg sci-fi thriller you can watch online on iFILM. After a violent car crash, Michelle wakes up chained to the wall of an underground bunker with no idea how she got there.
Her rescuer, Howard, insists a chemical attack has poisoned the air above ground and that staying below with him and a young man named Emmett is the only way to survive. The trouble is Howard, played by John Goodman, behaves far too strangely for a kind host: rigid rules, sudden rage, locked doors. Michelle, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, can't tell which threat is worse, the one outside or the man who sealed her in, or whether there's any way out at all.
Trachtenberg's feature debut began life as a standalone script, and its link to 2008's Cloverfield only emerged once J.J. Abrams came aboard as producer.
