Bird Box

Civilization collapses in a matter of days. Mallory, played by Sandra Bullock, survives with two small children by keeping her eyes shut, guiding them blindfolded down a river by touch alone. A box of birds is her only alarm, their cries warning when the unseen presence draws near. Director Susanne Bier cuts between two timelines: the early panic inside a house full of strangers, and the present-day journey down the water. John Malkovich, Trevante Rhodes and Sarah Paulson move in and out of Mallory's story across those years.
