Synopsis
Licorice Pizza (2021) is Paul Thomas Anderson's coming-of-age comedy you can watch online on iFILM. It's 1973 in the San Fernando Valley, and a fast-talking fifteen-year-old named Gary decides that Alana is the one.
He's a teenage hustler who already acts and runs small-time schemes; she's twenty-five, drifting, and unsure why she keeps showing up. Their odd not-quite-romance loops across early-seventies Los Angeles through waterbed sales, a gas-crisis meltdown and one reckless truck ride rolling backwards down a hill. Newcomers Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman carry it, surrounded by Sean Penn, Bradley Cooper as a manic film producer and Tom Waits.
