Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Turns out the 1969 landing was never about planting a flag. A crashed Autobot ship lay on the dark side of the Moon, and inside it slept Sentinel Prime along with technology that could drag all of Cybertron straight to Earth. Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has graduated, hunts for a job, and has a new girlfriend, Carly (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley). When the Decepticons start silencing witnesses, Sam is yanked back between Optimus Prime and Megatron's forces.

For the finale Bay stages a brutal hour-long siege of Chicago, with skyscrapers folding like paper and the NEST team fighting block by block. Real astronaut Buzz Aldrin shows up, Leonard Nimoy voices Sentinel Prime, and John Malkovich and Frances McDormand lend the cast unexpected heft.
