Synopsis
Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz (2011) is an animated family film you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone drop the iconic cat-and-mouse duo straight into L. Frank Baum's classic story. Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion — all present. Tom and Jerry, of course, are there too.
A tornado sweeps them into the land of Oz alongside Dorothy, and for once the two rivals have to put their feud on hold. Getting their owner home safely comes first. The yellow brick road turns out to be full of detours, pratfalls and one very determined Wicked Witch of the West.
Running just under an hour, the film slots naturally into movie night for younger kids while keeping the classic Tom and Jerry slapstick that adults remember. Grey DeLisle and Rob Paulsen lead the voice cast. What makes it work is the contrast: the world's most predictable cat-and-mouse chase dropped into one of the most beloved adventure stories ever told.
