Ma

Ma (2019) is a psychological horror-thriller from director Tate Taylor that you can watch online on iFILM. In a sleepy Ohio town, a lonely woman named Sue Ann buys booze for a group of high schoolers — and finally finds the company she's been missing.

The kids start calling her Ma. She opens up her basement, pours the drinks, plays the music and lets them get away with everything their parents won't. There's just one rule: nobody goes upstairs. At first the teens love having an adult with no limits. Then the texts pile up, the favors get stranger, and something old and wounded surfaces behind that warm smile — something these kids woke up without meaning to.

Octavia Spencer, an Oscar winner for The Help, plays sharply against type and carries the whole picture on her own. She's joined by Diana Silvers, Juliette Lewis as a single mom, and Luke Evans.
