Monster

Monster (2021) is an American crime drama directed by Anthony Mandler — watch it online on iFILM. Kelvin Harrison Jr. plays Steve Harmon, a 17-year-old honor student who goes on trial for felony murder after being linked to a robbery gone wrong.

Steve processes the nightmare the only way he knows: through a camera. The film cuts between courtroom testimony, jailhouse memories and footage Steve imagines shooting of his own life — an unusual structure that reflects how much depends on whose story gets told and whose gets buried. Jeffrey Wright and Jennifer Hudson play his parents; John David Washington appears as a figure whose version of events carries weight Steve can't control.
