Synopsis
September 11 (11'09"01, 2002) is a French anthology drama you can watch online on iFILM. Eleven directors from eleven countries each contributed a short film exactly 11 minutes, 9 seconds, and 1 frame long — all responding to the events of September 11, 2001 from their own corner of the world.
The lineup includes Alejandro González Iñárritu, Sean Penn, Ken Loach, Mira Nair, Park Chan-wook, and Shohei Imamura, among others. Their films come from Iran, Burkina Faso, Israel, Egypt, Bosnia, Japan, India, and Mexico — each shot in the director's own language and grounded in their own cultural reality. Some segments mourn; others challenge the idea that only one city could ever stand for grief.
