Secretary

Secretary (2002) is an American drama directed by Steven Shainberg that you can watch online on iFILM. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Lee Holloway — freshly out of a psychiatric facility, back in her hometown, hired as a secretary by the oddly intense lawyer Mr. Grey, played by James Spader.

The job looks routine at first: typing, filing, coffee. Then Mr. Grey notices a typo. His response to it is not quite a formal reprimand. What develops between the two is a sadomasochistic dynamic that Lee, to her own surprise, does not want to escape. The film screened at Sundance 2002 and earned Gyllenhaal a Golden Globe nomination; Spader matches her in every scene.
