Synopsis
White Noise (2005) is a supernatural thriller starring Michael Keaton that you can watch online on iFILM. Architect Jonathan Rivers loses his wife Anna and cannot let go. Then a stranger tells him her voice is hiding inside the static.
At first Jonathan writes the man off as a crank. Six months later his phone lights up with his dead wife's number. He throws himself into EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomenon, the idea that the dead leave messages buried in radio hiss and dead channels. The recordings pull him deeper, and his need to hear Anna curdles into something closer to obsession. Whatever answers him through the noise is not always her.
Director Geoffrey Sax builds dread out of low hum and grainy footage rather than jump-scare monsters. Deborah Kara Unger, Ian McNeice and Chandra West round out the cast. One for viewers who prefer a slow, creeping chill to gore. Stream White Noise (2005) online on iFILM.
