Synopsis
The Jungle Book (1967) is Disney's hand-drawn animated classic you can watch online on iFILM. The man-cub Mowgli was raised by a wolf pack, but the tiger Shere Khan prowls these jungles, and the boy can no longer stay among the animals.
The wise panther Bagheera agrees to walk Mowgli to the man-village, yet the road bends in every wrong direction. Along the way the boy falls in with Baloo, an easygoing bear who teaches him to stop fretting and live on the bare necessities. Then the swinging ape King Louie hauls him off, the giant python Kaa tries to hypnotize him for dinner, and the dreaded meeting with the striped killer waits at the end.
Adapted from Rudyard Kipling's stories, this was the last animated feature Walt Disney worked on himself before his death. Songs like "The Bare Necessities" became standards, and the voices of Baloo and Bagheera came from jazz trumpeter Louis Prima and Phil Harris. Stream The Jungle Book (1967) online on iFILM.
