Monsters University

Monsters University (2013) is the Pixar animated comedy you can watch online on iFILM. A prequel to Monsters, Inc., it rewinds to the day Mike and Sulley met as freshmen and couldn't stand each other.

Tiny one-eyed Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) has dreamed of being a Scarer his whole life and enrolls in the university's Scaring program. There he runs into James P. Sullivan (John Goodman), a natural who coasts on a famous family name. The two clash instantly. After one stunt gets them both thrown out of the program, the only way back in is to win the campus Scare Games — with the most hopeless fraternity on campus as teammates. Dean Hardscrabble (Helen Mirren) doesn't believe in either of them.

Director Dan Scanlon takes the standard college-underdog setup and lands somewhere more honest: trying hard isn't the same as being gifted.
