Synopsis
Heavy Metal Mater (2010) is a four-minute Pixar animated short you can watch online on iFILM. John Lasseter directs another one of Mater's signature tall tales — this time, the tow truck insists he used to be a rock legend.
Mater's band, Mater and the Gas Caps, started in a garage and somehow ended up filling stadiums on the strength of their hit song "Dung-Dang." Lightning McQueen eventually joins onstage for a concert that, according to Mater, made rock history. The cast includes Larry the Cable Guy, Keith Ferguson, George Carlin, and Lori Alan.
