Synopsis
Like or Die (Señora Influencer, 2023) is a Mexican dark comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Fatima, a woman in her forties, becomes an overnight social-media star — with no idea what that fame is about to drag her into.
Drawn by the smell of someone else's clout, Sofi and Cami — two young influencers who can monetize any trend — worm their way into Fatima's life. They pose as her friends to ride the wave, and figure out far too late that they picked the wrong target. The glossy surface cracks, and a comedy about likes curdles into a game of survival. Mónica Huarte anchors it with a lead who is funny and unnerving in the same breath.
Director Carlos Santos keeps one foot in influencer-culture satire and the other in real suspense, so the laughs keep catching in your throat. Ninety-nine minutes for anyone happy to watch the hunters trade places with their prey. Stream Like or Die online on iFILM.
