Grace Waters looks like the last person who could commit murder. After a painful divorce she meets a charming younger man, falls hard and remarries, only to wind up behind bars accused of his death. The case lands on rookie public defender Jasmine Bryant, who is told by her boss to plead it out and move on. Instead she keeps pulling at loose threads in the testimony, and the open-and-shut story starts to look like someone else's setup.
