Endless Night

Michael Rogers is a restless young drifter with a fixation on a piece of land locals call Gipsy's Acre — a place with a bad reputation that nobody can quite explain. A celebrated architect draws up the plans, they move in, and things start going wrong in ways that feel wrong before you can name them.

Christie wrote this one differently from her Poirot and Marple novels — no detective, no tidy clues, just an atmosphere of something badly off beneath the surface.
