Be Kind Rewind

Be Kind Rewind (2008) is an offbeat comedy from director Michel Gondry — watch online on iFILM. Jack Black and Yasiin Bey play two friends from a small New Jersey town who accidentally erase every tape in the neighbourhood video store in a single night. The culprit: a freak magnetic field. The solution: remake the movies themselves.

Armed with a camcorder and zero budget, they produce their own homemade versions of Ghostbusters, RoboCop, Rush Hour 2 and a dozen other titles. They call the results "Sweded." Mia Farrow plays the store's most loyal customer — an elderly woman who keeps coming back for her favourite tapes. Danny Glover is the shop owner, holding onto a building that the whole street is about to lose.
