Synopsis
The Captive (2014) is Atom Egoyan's crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Eight years after Matthew's daughter vanished, fresh clues suggest the girl may still be alive.
Ryan Reynolds plays a father whose life collapsed the day he left his car for one minute. His wife, played by Mireille Enos, never forgave him. Two detectives from a child-crimes unit, Rosario Dawson and Scott Speedman, keep circling the cold case, while a predator who has spent years watching the parents of his victims moves somewhere just out of frame. Egoyan tells it out of sequence, cutting between past and present so the viewer pieces things together as painfully as the characters do.
