Hardcore Henry

Hardcore Henry (2015) is a first-person action sci-fi by Ilya Naishuller that you can watch online on iFILM. The entire film unfolds through the hero's own eyes — strapped-on cameras turn every chase, fistfight and rooftop leap into something you feel from the inside.

Henry wakes up in a flying lab high above Moscow with no memory, no voice, and a body half-rebuilt from cybernetic parts. His wife Estelle (Haley Bennett) barely finishes patching him together before she's snatched by Akan, a telekinetic madman played by Danila Kozlovsky who wants an army of cyborgs of his own. What follows is roughly one day of nonstop pursuit across the city. Henry's only ally is the unpredictable Jimmy, who keeps dying and coming back in a dozen different guises, played by Sharlto Copley.

Naishuller built the feature out of his own viral music video and shot it whole on head-mounted rigs, keeping the stunts and bloodshed running without a pause for plot.
